Obituary
Wilma Jean Twig, age 68, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, 1:42 am at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Wilma was a member of Burks Chapel A. M. E. Church, where she was a member of the Mother's Board, the Addie Lucas Missionary Society, the Usher Board, and was a former choir member. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational School, certified in Tailoring. Wilma worked for Lourdes Home Care.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, James C. Lowery and Sophia Parsons Lowery, and one brother.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Willie Twig of Paducah; one son, James Smith of Evansville, IN; two daughters, Nicole Twig of Paducah and Florine Askew-Twig of Aurora, IL; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Lowery of Paducah and Clyde Lowery of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Gloria Ferguson o0f Paducah; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, with Reverend B. Kennedy and Reverend Michael Wade officiating.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
