Wilma Boyd-King, 80, Paducah, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, 10:56 AM at her residence.
Wilma was a member of Rosary Chapel. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Wilma received her Barbering Certification from West Kentucky State Vocational Technical School and was employed by the Amvets, K-Mart, Chicago Motor Club, and Speigel's in Chicago, Illinois.
Wilma serv ed on the W. C. Young Community Center Board of Directors and was a member of the Brunch Club. She was a former member of Queen Esther Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star, and Paducah Assembly #92, Order of the Golden Circle, Prince Hall Affiliated.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ivo Boyd, Sr., and Sammie Washington; her husband, Bobby King, four brothers, and two sisters.
Wilma is survived by, four step-daughters, Gloria Marbury, Detroit, MI, Loyce King Miller, Clarksdale, MS, Kaquana King, Chicago, IL, and Bobbi King Warren, Memphis, TN; several step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday at Rosary Chapel, 711 Ohio Street, Paducah, KY, with Father Julian Ibemere officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at Rosary Chapel.
