WIllie L. Jones, age 76, of Paducah, KY, passed away on April 14, 2023. He was known to his family, and friends, as "Mickey." He was the son of the late, Leslie M. Jones-Cunningham. He was the fourth of nine children. He confessed his life, to Christ, at an early age. He was a graduate from Lincoln High school, in 1965, where he was a member of the junior, and varsity basketball team. He served in the US Army, for six years, two of the six years were served in Vietnam. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam war, and was awarded the bronze star for his heroic efforts during the war. He was a retiree from the City of Paducah.

In addition to his military accomplishments, he also had numerous personal accomplishments. He was elevated to a 33rd degree mason. He was a Past Master of Stone Square Lodge No. 5, a Past Commander-in-Chief of Paducah Consistory No. 92, and a Past Potentate of Balkis Temple #157.

He was a dearly loved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind three children who will cherish his love, and memories: Yolanda Jones from DE, Vincee Smith (Timothy Sr) from IL, and Darrell Berry Sr (Carol) from IL. He also leaves behind one sister, Pearl Jones (Jewel) from KY, three brothers, Vincent "Mack" Cunningham (Pam) from KY, Sylvester Jackson (Sandra) from KY, Perry Jackson (Becky) from IL, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death, by his mother, Leslie M. Jones-Cunningham, as well as his stepfather, Vincent Cunningham. He had five brothers, and one sister that preceded him in death: Edward E. White, Leslie Jones, Horace Payne, James L. Cunningham, Jerry L. Cunningham, and Vincee M. Cunningham. He was also preceded in death, by one daughter, Corrine Renee Jones.

Family and friends may call at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, located at 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, KY, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, 12:00pm at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1324 Bloomfield Avenue, Paducah, KY.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
