Burial with Military Honors is scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 10:00 AM, in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

Willie Dewitt "Bill" Allen, age 70, of Paducah, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018, 9:00 p.m. at his residence.

He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam Era and a recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He was formerly employed with both the Pennwalt Corporation and with the City of Paducah. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one son , Michael Dewitt Allen of Paducah; one daughter , Dwanna Allen-Boyd of Paducah; three grandsons ; one brother , Jeffery Allen of Germantown, TN; two nieces ; one nephew ; one aunt, Mildred Arnold of Paducah and several cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Allen and Ida G. Haywood Allen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 12:00 Noon , at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
