William Patrick Sims entered eternal rest from the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 5:20 a.m.  William was 49 years, 7 months and 2 days of age at the time he answered the call of his Heavenly Father.  He became the wonderful son to William Sims and Lucille Tolbert Sims on July 10, 1972.

William was of the Baptist faith.  He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and was gainfully employed as a warehouse worker with the H.T. Hackney Company of Paducah until his health began to fail.

William thoroughly enjoyed being with his family.  He was an outdoorsman who loved working on cars.  He loved all kinds of music and would listen to his favorite tunes as often as time would allow.  William had a pet Labrador he named "Pa".

Those he leaves to cherish his many memories are: Two Daughters , Shyann Sims and Tyanna Sims both of Paducah; Three Sons , Dwight Cook and Revontae Moore both of Paducah and Shawn McManus of Hendeson, KY; Five Sisters , Tammy Sims, Elizabeth Dunbar, and Amanda Jones, all of Paducah, KY , Betty Jordan of Staten Island, NY and Janice Sims of Chicago, IL ; Two Brothers , Johnny Sims of Detroit, MI and Ricky Arnold of Paducah, KY : Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sims and Lucille Tolbert Sims; one daughter, Elisha Moore and two brothers, Richard Sims and Charles Edward Sims.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022, 12 Noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Bishop Charles E. Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

All attendees are required to wear a mask.
