William Preslee
Puckett
December 28, 1958 – April 24, 2017
William Preslee Puckett, age 58, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a member of Greater St. Paul Ministries where he served on the Praise Team and as a soloist and had been a very active member of the former Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, both in Wingo, and a graduate of Wingo High School. He was formerly employed as a bagger man and front-end loader operator at Kentucky-Tennessee Clay Company and as an over the road truck driver for Harpers Ham.
He is survived by five brothers , Melvin Puckett of Fulton, Dale Puckett of Las Vegas, NV, Carter Puckett of Danville, IL, Harvey Puckett of Detroit, MI, and James Hutcherson of Stone Mountain, GA; three sisters , Regina Kent and Linda Spann, both of Chicago, IL and Lucille Hayes of Wingo; four step-children; thirteen step-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, one aunt and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Puckett and Margaret L. McClure Puckett, one brother, Howard Puckett and one sister Donnie Massey.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 1:00 p.m., at Greater St. Paul Ministries in Wingo, KY, with Reverend Tyrone Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Obion Cemetery in Pryorsburg.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial hour.
