William "Unk" McKenzie, Jr., 89, of Paducah, passed away, Thursday, November 12, 2015, 5:28 pm, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
He was a member of New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church of Brookport, IL, where he served as a deacon. He was a retiree of the Motorola Company and a Veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II.
He is survived by three sons, William Anthony McKenzie, Darrel McKenzie and Robert Earl Jackson, all of Paducah; two daughters, Marie Broady and Erma Jackson, both of Paducah; 10 Grandchildren;
15 Great-Grandchildren; one sister, Billie McKenzie Cox of Ripley, MS; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Boaz McKenzie, parents, William H. McKenzie and Annie Mae McKenzie, a son, Ronald McKenzie, three grandchildren, a brother and six sisters.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015, 12:00 Noon at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald White officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
