Willard Jerome Faulkner, named after his uncle the late "Willard Justine Hines", was born to the late Aaron Faulkner, Jr. and Marcia Mai Hines Faulkner Haywood in Paducah, KY, on March 24, 1959.  He was the fourth of seven siblings raised together with the exception of a younger brother.  He attended DT Cooper Elementary, Jetton Jr. High School and graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in 1977.  After graduating from high school, he attended Paducah Community College for two years in the engineering program, while working as an intern at Martin Marietta.  He attended the University of Tennessee for another two years and then furthered his education at the University of Houston, while pursuing a career as an engineer and with Houston Power for seven years.  Willard returned to Paducah, KY and worked at Lockheed Martin, currently known as USEC, for five years.  He started his roofing company in 1998.  He volunteered in Mississippi repairing homes during the hurricane Katrina crisis.  During his time in Pascagoula, MS, he worked for the navy shipyard, "Northrop Grumman, Inc." repairing navy ships.  He returned to Paducah, KY once again continuing his roofing company.  Willard's latest job position was as a receptionist at Baptist Health.

Willard Jerome Faulkner was baptized at Seventh Street Baptist Church which was later renamed Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a youthful deacon and choir member.  He became a member of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church in his younger days and served as a deacon and choir member there as well.

Willard Jerome Faulkner had a variety of hobbies that included drawing. He was a distinguished artist who was great at replicating any artwork placed in front of him.  He had a passion for tennis, cooking, dominoes, and he absolutely loved children!  Although he didn't have children of his own, his nieces and nephews filled a great portion of his heart.  He always made sure to call and wish everyone a Happy Birthday and to check in on holidays with family and friends.  He was very family oriented!

Willard Jerome Faulkner was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Aaron and Phyllis Faulkner; his mother and stepfather, Marcia and Dewitt Haywood; one brother, Terry Faulkner and one step-brother, Tracey Waldon.

Willard Jerome Faulkner is survived by Four Brothers , Byron (Elizabeth) Faulkner, Gary Faulkner and Aaron Tyrone Walden, all of Paducah, KY , Victor (Renea) Faulkner of Atlanta, GA ; Two Sisters , Mary K. Our beloved Willard was a fighter and he faced every battle he endured head-on; he will truly be missed.  Revelation 14:143 – "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on."  "Yes", says the spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."
