IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wendell R.
Springfield
May 5, 1951 – June 6, 2024
Wendell Ray Springfield entered eternal rest from Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital of Madisonville, KY, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 12:12 a.m. He was at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 1 day. He was born in Beaver Dam, KY, on May 5, 1951, as the son of the late John Robert Springfield and Ardella Britt Springfield.
Wendell was of the Holiness Faith and dedicated his life to his given mission as a "FARMER".
It was well known fact that Wendell would fish each and every day of his life if there was any way possible. He also was in his own element when he was sitting on his tractor doing any and everything he so desired. Yes, he was on his tractor. Although he had a truck, he would still drive that tractor wherever he needed to go.
Wendell was both a friend and brother and will be truly missed especially by his brother James.
He leaves to cherish his many memories: Two Brothers, Danny (Annette) Springfield of Madisonville, KY and James C. Springfield of Greenwood, IN; Two Sisters, Racheal (Spencer) Springfield-Hamilton and Stephanie (Dennis) Barbee, both of Hopkinsville, KY; Three Aunts, Kay Grooms of South Carolina, Nancy Grooms and Elaine (Durante') Pepper, both of Clarksville, TN; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Spencer, Jr. and his sister Stacey Beckner.
Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, KY.
