Wayne Steven "Huck" Matchem, 53 years, 8 months and 24 days old, left his earthly home for eternal rest at 2:20 PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Southern Regional Hospital in Jonesboro, Georgia. Wayne was born September 26, 1958 to the late Herbert Matchem and Juanita Bolen in Paducah, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his wife Johnice Reese, two sisters, Kathy Bolen, Phyllis Webster Allen, and one brother, Sammy D. "Sammuel" Bolen.

Wayne attended Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries. He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School where he was a member of both the baseball and wrestling teams and attended Paducah Community College, where he studied horticulture.

Huck, affectionately known by his family and friends, was a great cook and he loved his family. He enjoyed life and never met a stranger, as he was willing to help out where needed. Huck enjoyed fishing and loved the blues. He was loved by his family and will be truly missed.
