Violet Laurine Norman Johnson, age 77 of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, 2:31 a.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church where she served as church clerk, President of the Sunday School Department, culinary department, mother's board and Secretary of the Freewill Baptist Conference Division of Eddyville, Kentucky and other ministries.

She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher L. Childrey, one great-granddaughter, A'lereah Johnson, her parents, Otis L. Norman and Dorothy P. Wheeler Norman, three sisters, Loretta Maxwell, Valdez DeBoe and Dorothy Nell Crowe and two brothers, Charles Bolden and Dartanya Beaugard.

She is survived by three daughters, Alicia Johnson of Louisville, KY; Arista (Markell) Hobson of Jackson, TN; and Amina (David) Watkins of Paducah, KY; one son, Armonde Johnson of Paducah; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren ; two sisters, Gwendolyn Bolden of Lancaster, CA and Rosetta Vinson of Paducah, KY; one brother, Taronque Beaugard of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Wilkerson officiating.

Due to the current restrictions to COVID-19, funeral services will be private.
