Violet Marie Broady, age 70, of Paducah, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

She was a member of First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School and was employed at MLC Restaurant as a cook.

Violet is  survived by one son , Stu Broady, Paducah; two daughters , Tonia Askew, Paducah and Dawn McKellery, Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren ; fifteen great-grandchildren ; three brothers , Robert Jackson, William McKenzie, Jr., and Darrel McKenzie; one sister , Erma Jackson, all of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William McKenzie, Sr. and Viola Boaz McKenzie; her husband, Albert Broady, one son, Mushun Jackson and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Jesse Weathers and Reverend Thaddyeus Thompson, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
