Obituary
Vernon G. Kinney, 44, of Hickman, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, 12:56 pm at Baptist Health of Paducah.
He was a member of Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Fulton County High School, and formerly employed with Herman Jenkins Motors.
He is survived by a daughter, LaTequa Kinney of Hickman; three brothers, Coney Kenney and Gary Kinney, both of Hickman, James Kinney of Union City, TN; three sisters, Rose Kinney and Jana Turner both of Hickman, and Mae Reese Stray of Paducah and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents C.L. Kinney and Carrie L. Stray Kinney; one brother Charles Kinney and one sister Angela Kinney.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, 2:00 pm at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman. Reverend Steven Turner will officiate, and burial will follow in Hickman cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
