Veatrice Scott, 82 years, 2 months and 23 days old, departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on March 31, 2010, 2:45 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. She was born to the late Rufus Neece and Rosa Parham Neece in McCracken County on January 8, 1928.
Veatrice was a member of Enoch Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as Superintendent of the Sunday School, and was a member of the Mother's Board, Usher Board, Church Choir, Missionary Society, and the Culinary Arts Committee. She was a member and currently serving as President of the Interdenominational Union Choir and a former member of the Golden Tones.
Veatrice was a very sweet lady with a beautiful and gentle spirit who never met anyone she could not incorporate into her family.
She was a member and past Matron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star, P.H.A.; Past Loyal Lady Ruler of Paducah Assembly #92, Order of the Golden Circle, P. H. A.; Past State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler, Jurisdiction of Kentucky, P. H. A.; member of Balkis Court #156, Daughters of Isis, P. H. A. She was also a member of the McCracken County Homemakers, Paducah/McCracken County Chapter of the NAACP, and a Duchess of Paducah. She was a cook for Care Bears Nursery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph T. Scott, Sr.; her parents Rufus Neece and Rosa Parham Neece and a son Clarence Kittrell.
