Obituary

Trina Marie Kinney Moss was born June 2, 1957, in Mobile, Alabama to the union of Rev. Ray T. and Eurydice Bradley Kinney (deceased) transition to her heavenly home Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Nashville, TN. Trina was the first-born grandchild of life-long Daphne, AL residents, John and Tessie Lula Bradley. As the daughter of a Methodist minister, she grew up in locations throughout Alabama, the southeast and other areas of the country.

Trina completed high school in Fairfield, AL. She then matriculated at Tuskegee University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She continued her studies at the University of Alabama, earning an MSW degree in Social Work Administration. Her professional career included Director of United Negro College Fund (AL Division), Girls Inc. Birmingham, AL., Executive Director, Grace House Ministries, Supervisor Tennessee Department of Family and Children's Services and Social Worker at Tennova Hospice of Clarksville, TN. Volunteer services included, Member of Board of Directors Grace House Ministries and YWCA-Birmingham, AL. Trina always described "love" as an action word, so she understood that loving others also meant serving others. She continued to serve the Clarksville community while faithfully serving alongside her husband as First Lady of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, women ministry, while singing praises to the Lord.

Trina leaves to cherish her memories, husband Reverend Dr. Michael J. Moss, Clarksville, TN; daughters Kamilah (Jemal) O'shuni Johnson of Houston, TX, Renita (Terrence) Skinner, India Moss; one son Miguel Moss; Paducah, KY. Eight grandchildren; Nathan Smith and Mason Ware, Clarksville, TN; Aaron JeMal Johnson, Zoe Rain Johnson, Houston TX. Kramer Adagio Johnson, Jordan Aaliyah Johnson; Birmingham, AL; Yelaesha Moss and Ja'Keem Southward, Paducah, KY. Siblings include brother Phillip E Kinney (Paula) Huntersville, NC; sisters: Phyllis Scott (Keith) Atlanta, GA; Davala Lynn Hunter (David) Jacksonville, FL; Renita Strong, (Derek) Paducah, KY.: Opal Ray Bowen, Tupelo, MS., Darlene Williams, Los Angeles, CA. "Aunties" Dr. Elva E. Bradley, Tuscaloosa, AL, and Trudy Bradley Powell, Montgomery, AL. Along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Trina was preceded in death by her daughter Kia Marie Banks.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024. 11:00 a.m. at Greater Missionary Baptist Church 450 Ringgold Road Clarksville, TN with Reverend Dr. Claybon Lea Jr. and Pastor James Hudson officiating.

Family will receive friend from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Burial will follow on Friday, December 6, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama.
