Tonya Sue Shannon, 47, of Paducah KY, passed away on May 14th, 2024, at her residence.

Tonya was born in Kankakee IL on May 21, 1976, to Angela Kay Robbins. She later moved to Pope County, IL where she graduated from Pope County Community High School in 1995. She was a proud member of the color guard and chorus. She was also a member of Washington Street Baptist Church in Paducah where she was on the chorus for a few years and loved her church family.

Tonya is survived by her husband of several years , DeAries Shannon; two sons , Tristen Reed and Terrin Reed; brother , Michael Robbins; mother-in-law Althea Hensley; nieces , Taylor Robbins, Shayla Robbins and Kaylee Robbins, and Chloe Seefeldt; nephews , Caleb and Kolby Richardson and Trenton Huston; and several other family members and close friends .

Tonya is proceeded in death by her mother Angela Kay Robbins; sister, Kemberly Robbins; nephew, Tanner Huston; grandmother-in-law, Norma Hensley; brother-in-law, Derrick Hensley; grandmother, Phyllis Hemphill; grandfather, Jack Hemphill, and uncles David and Rick Hemphill.

Tonya will always be remembered for her goofy personality, singing with her children and family, and dancing around the house. She will always be remembered for her caring heart and love she had for her family and friends.

Those that wish to pay their respects can attend Tonya's visitation at 11am and Funeral at 12pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Washington Street Baptist Church, 721 Washington Street, Paducah, KY 42003 with Reverend Bill Williamson officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
