Theola A. Jenkins, 72, Paducah, KY, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, 9:20 a.m. at Medco Center of Paducah.

Ms. Jenkins was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher. She was also a member of the Interdenominational Union Choir, the Monday Night Pin Girls and Wednesday night's Pacesetter's & Mixed Bowling Leagues. She was a founding member of the National Bowling Association of the River City Senate and a former member of Queen Esther Chapter #4, Order of the Eastern Star. Ms. Jenkins attended West Kentucky State Vocational School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theoplish Stevens and Effie Mae Grundy Stevens, and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Amos Jenkins, Jr., Paducah, KY; one son, James Horton, Rockford, IL; one daughter, Ella Horton, Rockford, IL, seven grandchildren; two brothers, James Stevens, Richmond, IN and Edward Lee Stevens, Paducah, KY; several nieces ,nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 16, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James Draw officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1110 North 14th Street, Paducah, KY 42001.
