Terry George "OG" Howell, age 63, of Brookport, IL, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 12:01 p.m.

Terry was of the Baptist faith.  He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era.  He was also employed as a semi-truck driver for various companies.

Terry is survived by his mother , Colleen Carruthers Hardy of Brookport, IL; two daughters , Monique Jefferson of Greenleaf, MD and Destiny Massey of Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren ; two sisters , Wilma Grubbs of Paducah and Erma Spears of Austin, TX; three brothers , Wilbur Reid of Sacramento, CA, Anthony Grubbs, Sr. of West Paducah, and Guan Grubbs of Jackson, TN; one uncle ; several nieces , nephews , and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Vernell Howell, Sr., four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 6, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow on Friday, December 7, 2018, 11:30 a.m., in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL.

Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
