Obituary

Teressa E. Curtis, aka "Nannie", was the oldest of five children born February 5, 1941, in Clinton, Kentucky to Eugene and Theoria Ellerson Curtis. Teressa exchanged her earthly existence for eternal rest in God's Heavenly Kingdom on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 1:00 am, from her residence in Clinton, Kentucky. At the time of her demise she was 73 years, and 6 days of age.

Before becoming a life-time member of Green Valley Missionary Baptist Church, as a young Christian, Teressa probably never imagined the contributions and impact that she would make over the coming years of her life to her church, her family, and her community.

After graduating from Riverview High School in Hickman, Kentucky, Teressa attended and graduated from West Kentucky vocational Training School in Paducah, Kentucky where she was certified in Business Administration. She soon after entered the workforce as a trailblazer at West Kentucky Allied Services in Mayfield, Kentucky until her retirement in 1989. Over the next 25 years, Teressa (Nannie) Curtis, became a spiritual force to be reckoned with; she worked diligently to live her life to the fullest, while sharing her love, wisdom and most importantly….the word of God. Seeing the need for constant prayer in our community, she founded "PS MAD" (Praying Sisters Making A Difference). Though this group is small in number, they are massive in the impact that these collective praying sisters make in our community. Nannie, we honor you and will keep your vision alive.
