Tanya Renee' Barnette, age 46, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015, 1:36 pm at Baptist Health of Paducah.

She was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and served in Sunday School and the Children's Nursery. Tanya was a teacher's aide in the Paducah City School System and the Davidson County School System of Nashville.

She is survived by her son, Davontre' Barnette of Paducah; her mother, Cecelia M. Barnette of Paducah; her biological father, Prentice Stegar of Pontiac, MI; five brothers, Cecil Jabbar Barnette of Murray, KY; Steven Perry Barnette and Odie Cole Jr. both of Paducah; Prentice Stegar III of Pontiac, MI and Damon Morris of Lexington, KY; Grandfather, James Bailey of Dallas, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Minister Cecil J. Barnette ; one sister, Marina Stegar; Grandparents, Willard and Bernice Wilson and Prentice and Della Stegar, Sr. and a cousin, Vance L. Crosby.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015, 12:00 noon at the Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church located at 1126 Harrison Street with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating.

Entombment services will be conducted on Monday, July 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
