Susie M. Fortune, age 82, of Paducah, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017, 10:06 a.m., at Baptist Health of Paducah.

She was a member of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Deaconess.  She was formerly an in-home childcare provider for over twenty years.

Susie is survived by one daughter , Veronica Renee Walters of Paducah, one granddaughter , Ke-Neshia Donelson and one grandson , James J. Walters, both of Paducah; three great-grandsons, Keith Donelson, Kysaac Donelson and Jamarion Copeland; two step-children, Elizabeth Burden of West Babylon, NY and Beryl Terry of Highland Mills, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

She was preceded in death by her parents,  Doc Donaldson and Lizzie Bramley Donaldson; her first husband, James W. Walters, second husband Lloyd Fortune, and one son, Reverend Keith Walters.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017, 12:00 noon, at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson officiating.  Burial will follow on Monday, October 23, 2017, 11:30 a.m., in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
