SonSerrea Johneise Troupe entered her Heavenly Home on the wings of an Angel at 9:38 p.m. on Monday August 3, 2020, from her residence in Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of her transition she had been blessed to be at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 28 days. SonSerrea, one who had a good heart, was born April 5, 1973, to her loving parents, Jimmy L. Kent and Linda K. Troupe Day.
SonSerrea accepted Christ as her personal Savior and have since become a member of House of Hope Ministries under the spiritual guidance of Reverend Michael Pryor.
SonSerrea completed her primary education and enrolled in her secondary area of education where she received an associate degree in arts and a bachelor's of arts degree in criminal justice. She utilized her skills at the Juvenile Facility Center at the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Facility.
SonSerrea, the life of the party, loved reading books of personal interest and watching her favorite television shows including "Wheel of Fortune", Family Feud" and "The Food Channel". From the food channel, she developed the skill of cooking lasagna and making pasta salads. SonSerrea loved her independence, never wanting to depend upon others for her everyday living. She was also quite fond of and expressed great love for her nieces and great-nieces, but most importantly, her greatest love was for the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her maternal-grandparents, Willie and Celestine Troupe and her paternal-grandparents, W.T. and Jose Kent.

Troupe, Paducah, KY; Special Companion, Tyshon Gaston, Paducah, KY; Two Brothers, Deon LeMonte' (Alonda) Troupe, Paducah, KY and Richard Brown, Rockford, IL; One Step-Brother, Derek (Crystal) Daye, Rockford, IL; One Step-Sister, Lacrecia Daye, Milwaukee, WI; Seven Aunts, Deborah Charles and Tina Harvey, Both of Atlanta, GA, Colletta (Kent) Berryhill and Diane (James) Jacobs, Both of Rockford, IL, Tammy Troupe, Phoenix, AZ, Naomi (Dick) Strand, Scottsdale, AZ, and Peggy Burrows, Tacoma, WA; Seven Uncles, Bryan Troupe, Willie Kent and Robert Earl Kent, All of Rockford, IL, James (Victoria) Kent, Sterling, IL, Roy (Glenda) Kent, Bradley (Melissa) Kent, Baltimore, MD, and Earnest Kent of Arizona; A Host of Nieces, One Nephew, Cousins, and Friends.
SonSerrea will be greatly missed by all who knew her and respected her for the great individual she was.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2020, 1:30 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
