Shirley Fields Martin age 66 of Paducah, passed away on Saturday March 4, 2023, 7:30 p.m. at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Shirley was born to Arthur Fields and Corine Dotty Johnson Fields in Terrell, AR, on February 27, 1957.

Shirley was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the culinary committee.  She had also been employed as a secretary with the Department of Human Resources in Chicago, IL.

Shirley was known as a "Great Cook."  Her favorite colors were purple and red, and she had a deep affection towards walking around especially in the park where she observed nature.

Shirley is survived by Her Son, Larry Fields of Paducah, KY; A Goddaughter, Joy Jones a Godson, David Jones who were her adopted family, both of Texas; Her adopted sister and best friend Regina Hollis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Martin, parents, Arthur Fields and Corine Dotty Johnson Fields, and brother, George Fields.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade officiating.

Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
