Obituary
Sherry C. Matthews, 76, Paducah, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, 8:15 pm, at her residence.
She was a member of Oakalone Christian Church where she served as a stewardess and an usher. She retired from the McCracken County Senior Citizens as a van driver.
She is survived by a son, Grayling Glenn Matthews of Paducah; four sisters, Erma Ferguson of Lansing, MI, Eva Stevens of Nashville, TN, Charlene Stevens and Carolyn Stevens, both of Louisville; two brothers, Eugene Stevens of Scottsdale, AZ and Victor Stevens of Lake Worth,
FL; one uncle; two aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Glenn Matthews, Jr., her parents, Hubert L. Stevens and Elma M. Rouse Townsley and a brother J. O. Townsley.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, 11:00 am at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend Gaylon Grubbs and Reverend C. Winston Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
