IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherita Racquel
Sherrill
October 24, 1980 – May 30, 2022
Sherita R. Sherrill was born in Murray, KY on October 24, 1980, and departed this life on May 30, 2022 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Sherita , also known to family & friends as, "ReRe" , was the epitome of selflessness, love & kindness. She had a love for children as deep as the ocean, which led her to becoming the "neighborhood babysitter" as a kid and a long-time childcare teacher at Paducah Day Nursery all of her adult life. Sherita's nurturing and caring qualities were not only displayed on a professional level, but even more so when God granted her the opportunity to pour that love into her very own creations. Sherita's 3 boys were her entire world. They adored her just as she adored them. If the hallmark saying, "world's greatest mom" was a person, Sherita would be it! To others children and to her own. Sherita had a personality out of this world. She was a social butterfly that everyone loved to be around. She was infamous for her thrill-filled sleepovers that always ended in someone wetting their pants from laughter or fear. She had the BEST taste in music and was the queen of r&b playlists. Hence her obsession with the king of R&B himself, R.Kelly! All in all, anyone who ever encountered Sherita's presence was touched in a powerful way. She impacted so many's lives. She endured hardship, but she never let it affect how she treated others. Her genuine spirit was unmatched, besides that of her mother. She will truly & utterly be missed for all of the days to come.
Sherita was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Sherrill; a daughter, Sharion Sherrill; a brother, Eddie Sherrill; maternal grandparents, Gladys and Charles Shelton and James Murrell; and paternal grandfather Eddie Duffy Sr.
Sherita leaves to cherish her memory Three Sons , Jamir, Jamian, and Jamoni Franklin, all of Paducah, KY ; Her Father , Eddie Duffy Jr., Paducah, KY ; Paternal Grandparents , Lennie and Kenneth Simmons, Mayfield, KY ; Three Sisters , Kenesha Sherrill, Paducah, KY , Crystal Saxton, Louisville, KY , and Kaitlyn Sayles, Mayfield, KY ; One Brother , Tim Moss, Paducah, KY ; Two Aunts , Marcia (Chris) Biggers and LaDonna Sherrill, Mayfield, KY ; Two Uncles , Kenny (Doris) Duffy and Charles Sherrill, Mayfield, KY ; A Special Niece , Jaden Bonn, Louisville, KY and Cousin , Joeshanna Starks, Paducah, KY ; Several Nieces and Nephews with whom she shared a special bond as well as A Host Of Cousins and Friends .
God saw you were getting weary. He did what he thought best. He came and stood beside you and whispered, "Come and rest.". You bade no one a last farewell, no, not even a goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
