IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shelia Louise
Shaw
April 24, 1964 – May 13, 2022
Shelia Louise Shaw graced the world with her presence on April 24,1964 and was welcomed into the arms of her parents James Shaw and Sallie Beatrice Skinner. For fifty-eight years Shelia energized, engaged and entertained her loved ones until the Lord called her home on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:38 P.M.
A life-long resident of Paducah, Shelia graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School and continued her educational development by enrolling in classes at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Her former employment included McDonalds and Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She attended New Greater Love Missionary Baptist with her son and daughter-in-law.
There was never a dull moment when Shelia was around. She was a people person known for her gift of gab, her love of dance, and her willingness to please. Because she never met a stranger, she enjoyed having good conversations with family as well as people she met in her day-to-day experiences. Perhaps one of her most endearing qualities was her eagerness and ability to provide the absolute best in customer service both on her job and throughout her life.
Preceding her in death were one son, Cedric Hall; her parents, James Shaw and Sallie Beatrice Skinner; and a brother, George Skinner, passed within days of Shelia.
Leaving behind to cherish her memories are one son, Terrence (Renita) Skinner; one daughter, Shycuria (Manny) Harris; one granddaughter, Yelaesha Moss, all of Paducah; one brother, Robert Tyler of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Cordette Southward of Paducah, Helen Trice of Kansas City, MO, Annette Parham of Orlando, Fl; one aunt, Catherine McReynolds of Memphis, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two God-daughters, Chiffon Winston and Esha Green, and one God-son, Lucas Scott.
Shelia will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Friday, May 20, 2022, 12:00 Noon, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home. Reverend Alfed Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
All attendees are required to wear masks.
