Seigal R. Stokes, 55, Paducah, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, 6:25 P.M., at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Stokes was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, attended Paducah Community College and Draughn's Business College, and was self employed as a laborer. Seigal was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his three sons, Ricardo Sloan of Paducah, Eric R. Stokes of Chicago, IL, and Seigal Lamar Stokes of St. Paul, Minnesota; four daughters, Alicia M. Stokes of Chicago, IL, Jasmine D. Stokes, Feltana L. Gibbs, and Jordan B. Stokes, all of St. Paul, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Weldon
Stokes and Terry Stokes, both of Paducah; a sister, Brenda Stokes of Paducah; two aunts and one uncle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elijah Leonard Stokes and Laverne Gertrude Bailey Stokes and a son Barrett L. Modisette.

Funeral Service for Mr. Stokes will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011, 3:00 p.m., at Mt Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah with Reverend Calvin R. Cole, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
Friends may call at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
