Samuel 'Sam' Petty 97, Paducah, KY died Thursday, December 29, 2011, 7:15 pm at Medco Center of Paducah.

Mr. Petty was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board. He was a Self-Vendor and retired as a truck driver from M. Livingston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Petty and Sarah Russell Petty, two brothers Robert Petty and Ralph Petty.

Mr. Petty is survived by his wife Ruby P. Petty, Paducah, KY; four step-sons, Gary White, James William White, both of Paducah, KY, Charles White, Nashville, TN, Mark White, Louisville, KY; three step-daughters, Denise White, Linda White, both of Paducah, KY, and Janice Siples, Rocky Mountain, NC. Several step-grandchildren, Step-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Friday, January 6, 2012 at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James L. Hudson and Reverend Charles W. Russell Officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Friday, January 6, 2012 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church.
