Obituary
Sammy L. Mason, 63, of Atlanta, formerly of Paducah, died Dec. 25 in Atlanta.
Mr. Mason was a self-employed contractor.
Surviving are one son, Alfred L. Mayes of Paducah; one stepson, Jemo Mayes of Paducah; three stepdaughters, Nekeshia Johnson and Jayné Johnson, both of Atlanta, and Stephanie Proctor of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Leroy Elmore of Rantoul, Ill., and the Rev. Frankie Elmore of Chicago; two sisters, Classie Jackson and Innette Johnson, both of Paducah; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Mason and Mary Manuel Mason; six brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Elmore officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
