Obituary

Rudolph Ragsdale, 99 of Paducah, KY, died Friday, 5:55a.m,January 9, 2009 at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Ragsdale was a Master Carpenter. He worked 15 years with the McCormack Place in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Ragsdale was a member of the Carpenter's Union for over 50 years. He also was a member of Stone Square Lodge #5, F. & A. M., PHA. He was a member of St. John A. M. E. Church where he served as church treasurer, Steward, Trustee and Groundskeeper.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Avery L. Ragsdale, His parents, the late Burel and Mattie Mayes Ragsdale; two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by one granddaughter, Sandra Coleman of, Cleveland, OH.; two great-granddaughters, Traci Mitchell OF Cleveland, OH.,, and Antonia Hunt of Indianapolis, IN.; three great-grandsons.

Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 15, 2009 at St. John A. M. E. Church, 1300 Atkins Avenue, Paducah, KY, Reverend Barry Frazier and Reverend Charles W. Russell will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Garden Cemetery, Paducah, KY

The family will receives visitors 6:00 pm until 8:00pm Wednesday January 14, 2009 at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, KY. Masonic Rites will be at 6:00 PM.; And on Thursday at the church after 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
