Roosevelt Davis, age 84, of Paducah died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at his residence after a long illness.

He was owner & operator retiree of Cricket Trucking Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of which he received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and a member of Miracle Temple Christian Church.

Davis is survived by a son, Gary Fields of Los Angeles, CA., a daughter, Diesa Dobrenski of Muncie, IN., a sister, Genever Shelton of Paducah, KY., a Grandson, Two Granddaughters, Three Great Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Davis and Alice Bryant Davis, his 1st wife, Creola Davis, his 2nd wife Rosie L. Davis, and a brother, Virgil Davis

Services are scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2008, 12 o'clock noon at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, Paducah, KY. Rev. Paul Jones will officiate and interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.
