Ronald V. Smith age 72 of Paducah, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, 3:11 p.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.

He was a member of New Greater Love Church. served as a veteran in the United States Air Force and was a former employee of Paducah Power System as a groundsman.

Ronald was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Jackson and mother Dorothy Collins Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Willa P. Smith of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Dr. Pamela Smith-Ligon of Fairburn, GA and Tiffany (Ivan) Gunn of Brentwood, TN; nine grandchildren ; Taylor Jackson of Chattanooga, TN, London Ligon of Fairburn, Ga, Kacie Jackson of Memphis, TN, Tracy Odom-Jackson, Tristian Odom, Tyson Odom, Tevin Jackson all of  Chattanooga, TN, Kamryn Gunn and Kiley Gunn both of Brentwood, TN; his father , James A. Smith of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters , Karen (William) Patterson of Seattle, WA and Valerie (Robert) Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; three brothers-in-law , Huey Gary Sr., of Paducah, Keith Gary and William Gary both of Seattle, WA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, including and special friends, Charles (Sharon) Daniels and Julius Summerow both of Chattanooga, TN.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023, 12 noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating.

Additional services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, 12 noon at J. P. Franklin Funeral Home 1101 Dodds Avenue Chattanooga, TN with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
