Robert Clark Washington was called to his Heavenly Home from Baptist Health Paducah on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 4:48 a.m. He was born in Panola, Alabama to the late John Gorth Washington and Luvirta Washington.

Robert was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church where he loved to praise the Lord. He was a retired construction worker from Walsh Construction Company in South Bend, Indiana.

Robert loved watching sports, with wrestling being his all-time favorite shows to watch. His passion was working in the yard, collecting model cars and loving on his dogs. Robert was a family man who loved his wife Arbelia beyond measure. He loved spending time with his grandkids and accepted his step-children like they were his own.

Robert will be greeted by his parents with open arms along with his son, Dominique Washington and two brothers, James Washington and Bobby Washington.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memories:  his companion and wife of 30 years, Arbelia Hawkins Washington of Paducah, KY; one son, Robert Hardin of South Bend, IN; one step-son; Gregory (Kenya) Hawkins of Trenton, OH; two daughters, Marlin Washington of Alabama and Tony Washington of California; one step-daughter, Marnita Hawkins of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Shyresha Hardin, Shavontae Hardin, Robert Ramon Hardin, Kadaja Hawkins, Qa'Shawn Miner and Tranija Miner; two great-grandchildren, London Neeley and Rain Henry; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his longtime friend Sonny Bell of South Bend, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, 12 Noon at Christ Temple Apostolic Church with Pastor Anthony Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Due to state mandated Covid-19 restrictions, all attendees are asked to wear  masks and practice social distancing.
