Robert Vincent "Butch" Snipes, age 70, of Paducah, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 9:10 a.m.

He was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed as a cook for Steak 'n Shake.

He is survived by two daughters , Angela Harley and Melissa Jenkins, both of Union City, TN; three sons , Robert Jenkins, Elkhart, IN; and Michael Snipes, Elgin, IL and Telly Snipes of Angerstown, MD; thirty-eight grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren ; seven sisters , Marie Jackson of Dyersburg, TN, Lorine Snipes of Elkhart, IN, Bonnie Ruth Snipes, Rochelle Snipes both of Tiptonville, TN, Betty S. Johnson, Sarah Wilkins and Carolyn Jean Snipes all of Paducah; one brother, Danny T. Thomas of Elgin, IL; four step-children , Jamel Waldon of Cartersville, GA and Kevin Waldon, Tray Waldon and Joshua Carruthers, all of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.V. Snipes and Hattie Mae Strayhorn Snipes; one daughter; four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2018, 12:00 noon, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Thaddyeus W. Thompson officiating.

Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
