Robert Coleman, age 88, of Paducah, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020, 3:36 p.m., and his wife of 48 years, Constance (Connie) Lee Harris Coleman, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2:27 p.m., both at Baptist Health of Paducah.

They were both members of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a trustee. She served as a deaconess and a Sunday School teacher.  Robert was a retiree of the United States Postal service after 40 years of service, and was a United States Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. He served on the Paducah City Commission and as Mayor Pro-Tem.  He was a member and Past Master of Stone Square Lodge #5 PHA and Honorary Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Kentucky, Inc. Robert and Connie also served on the W.C. Young Community Center Board of Directors with Robert serving as past president. He was also a member of The Gideons International East Camp of Paducah.  Both also were members of the Paducah Chapter of the NAACP.

Connie was employed as an LPN for over 50 years retiring from Lourdes Hospital. She was a 4-H Leader with 35 years of service and a member of Church Women United.

Robert and Connie are survived by one grandson , D'Angelo Coleman of Baltimore, MD; Robert is also survived by one sister , Neffallie Anderson of Paducah. Connie is  survived by four brothers , Dennis Harris, William Harris, Sr., Alec Harris, Sr. and Rodney Harris; five sisters , Ruby O'Donkor, Vernice Terry, Carolyn Mial, Deborah Overton and Rhoda Bartlett.  Both are survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Abe Coleman and Birdie Bell Coleman. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. Harris, Sr. and Bernice L. Harris; their one son, Dominic Coleman also preceded them in death.

Funeral services for Robert and Constance Coleman will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 12 NOON with Rev. Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

There will be a walk-through visitation at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the service.

Face coverings are required and social distancing of six feet must be maintained.
