Robert "Butch" Campbell Massie, Jr., 56, of Paducah, died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2018, in Atlanta, GA.

Robert lived in metro-Atlanta before returning to Paducah in August 2017.  He graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in 1980.  He attended Kentucky State University and then entered the United States Army.

He loved cooking, gardening, fishing and hanging out with his friends.

He is survived by his wife , Belinda Hunt Holmes Massie and her son , Darrell Sheeley, Jr.; mother , Alice Boyd Massie; brother , Myron (Pat) Massie of Paducah, KY; sisters , Donna (Ray) Cobb of Jacksonville, FL, RobbinMassie of St. Louis, MO, Thelma Jackson of Bowling Green, KY and Allyson (Raymond) Wynn of Chicago, IL; aunts , Shirley Massie of Paducah, KY and Linda Massie of Gary, IN; and uncle , Jeff Massie of Gary, IN.  He was uncle to Alexander Jackson, Kayla Cobb, Bradford and Nigel Wynn.  He also had a host of loving friends and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Campbell Massie, Sr. and best friend Maxx, his beloved dog.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 635 Ohio Street, Paducah, KY 42003, from Noon until 1:00 p.m.  The Celebration of Life Service will be from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
