Revie Shannon, Jr., 82, Paducah, passed away, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 12:45 pm, at Baptist Health of Paducah.

He was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church of Brookport, Il, a retiree of the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife , Lois V. Shannon of Paducah; five sons , Charles Shannon of Shelby, NC, Reike L. Shannon of Burgin, KY, Jerry Shannon of Paducah, Troy Sherrill of Nashville, TN, and Tracy Sherrill of Grand Chains, IL; six daughters , Sharolyn Johnson and Marolyn Ware, both of Paducah, Sobra Denise Shannon of Springfield, IL, Sharon Jackson of Morino, CA, Janice Shannon of Indianapolis, IN, and Linda Faye Davis of Paducah; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Shannon and Lanfort Shannon both of Brookport, Il ; three sisters , Sue Strong of Paducah, Marie Jones of Racine, WI and Gloria Ann Shannon ofBrookport, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina K. Shannon Meadows, a son, Donnie Sherrill, his parents, Revie L. Shannon, Sr. and Susie Hamilton Shannon, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 12, 2014, 12:00 Noon at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with William D. Hensley to officiate and military rites to be conducted.

Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
