Reverend Charles W. Russell 77, Paducah, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 9:15pm, at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Presently, Reverend Russell had presently served as Pastor of First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church for 23 years in Paducah, Kentucky. He formerly served as Associate Minister of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah. Reverend Russell received his Bachelor's Degree in Theology from the Northwest Bible College in Minote, ND where he was Valedictorian of his class. He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of Service. Reverend Russell served as Director of Christian Education for the West Kentucky Green Valley District and was a member of the Community Clergy Fellowship in Paducah.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary E. Russell, his parents, Reverend Charles Thomas Russell and Mildred I. Jenkins Russell and one brother.

Reverend Russell is survived by his wife, Goldie M. Chesser, Paducah, KY; one daughter, Diana Simmonswright, Altamonte Springs, FL; one son, Lovell Eugene Russell, San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, one brother and several cousins.

Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 9, 2015, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Calvin R. Cole, Sr. and Reverend Henrietta Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.

The family will receive visitors Monday, November 9, 2015, from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at the church.
