Reverend William S. "Bill" Benson, age 78 of Paducah, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, 10:16 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was a member of Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an associate minister and taught Bible Study.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Benson and Ruby Welch.

He is survived by; His Wife, Cheryl Cork Benson of Louisville, KY; Two Daughters , Sylvia Johnson of St. Louis, MO and Edwina (Jack) Foster of Houston, TX; One Granddaughter, Renisha Horne of Paducah; Four Great-Grandchildren; Omarion Johnson, Sylmariyah Patterson, Kamya Jeffers and Omari Horne and One Great-Great Grandson, Jacarrion Johnson all of Paducah ; Two Brothers, David (Essie) Benson of Columbus, OH and Jesse Benson of Youngstown, OH; One Sister, Anita Jackson of Youngstown, OH; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, April 10, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Anderson officiating.

Friends may call on Sunday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

All in attendance are required to wear a mask.
