Services for Reverend Thomas Allen Cox will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 12:00 Noon at Harrison Street Baptist Church with Reverend James L. Hudson offici-ating, and military interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Reverend Cox died at 7:45 P.M. at the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. He was also the former pastor of the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church in Paducah and the First Missionary Baptist Church-19th Street in Cairo, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife Evelyn Holland Cox, a brother Robert Jones of Louisville, KY, three (3) sons Gary Cox; Paducah, KY, Alonzo Blakey; Atlanta, GA, & Ronnie Cox; Louisville, KY, a daughter Sharon Spann; Paducah, KY, nine (9) grandchildren, and extended family members residing in Louisville, KY.

Friends may call on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Harrison Street Baptist Church where Reverend Cox will lie in state from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. and again at the church on Saturday, January 19, 2008, from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
