Rebecca Dodds, age 90, of Paducah passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 4:15 a.m. at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher and a member of the Culinary Committee. She was employed for many years by the former Bright's and Shirt & Skirt Downtown Department Stores.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruby Dodds; her father, Thor Franklin, her mother, Alice Armstrong Richard, three brothers and three sisters.

Dodds is survived by One Daughter, Mary B. Thompson of Paducah, KY ; A Grandson, Joseph(Charlene) Thompson of Nashville, TN; Two Granddaughters, Tonyia D. Dodds and Beckie Y .Thomas, both of Louisville, KY; A Brother, Benny Richard of Simsport, LA; Seven Sisters, Leonia Carter and Arlene Wright both of of Batchelor, LA, Alice Cleveland and Hazel Davis both of Houston, TX, Daisy Brown of Mansuri, LA, Bertha Dixon of Morganza, LA and Mildred Simon of McCrea, LA.; Eight Great Grandchildren, Three Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Joe Flagg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
