Preston McKinley, son of the late Nathaniel and the late Roberta Reynolds McKinely, was born on August 1, 1957, in Holly Springs, Mississippi. On May 26, 2025, he surrendered his will to the Lord while a patient at Marshall County Hospital in Benton, Kentucky. At the time of his passing, Preston had achieved 67 years, 9 months, and 25 days of quality life on earth.

Preston was known for his enthusiasm for all things related to sports, particularly basketball. His favorite player was Nazreon Hilton Reid, also known as "Bike Man" of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jogging was one of his much-loved recreational activities.

Preston was self-employed as a landscaper. He was a kind and gentle man with a quiet spirit who loved his family deeply. He lived a very humble life.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two daughters, Heather Price and Carrielynn McKinely.

Those who will forever treasure his memory are his Two Daughters, Tina (Leonard) Cope of Paducah, Kentucky, and Jamanda (Brandon) Scruggs of Portland, Tennessee; Two Sons, Leo Preston McKinely and Shawn McKinley; Three Grandchildren, Isaiah Cope, Arrianna Cope, Ezekiel Price; Great Granddaughter, Aaleeyah Hamilton, all of Paducah, Kentucky; Two Sisters, Judy Walton and Martha Crutchfield, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his former wife, Joyce McKinely of Paducah, Kentucky; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Preston's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
