Pearline Parker Moody, age 92 of Kuttawa passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019, 10:35 a.m. at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Eddyville, Kentucky, a retired custodian from Eddyville Courthouse. She was a member of the Democratic Woman's Club and the First African American to serve as a City Council Member in Kuttawa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Moody; parents Robert Parker and Lovie Crider Parker, two brothers; Herbert Parker and Noah Parker.

She is survived by one sister , Frances Parker Staples, of Paducah; one niece, Wanda Parker, Hopkinsville, KY; three great nieces, Roberta Staples Parker, Helena Staples Freeman both of Paducah, Tiffany Lynch of Hopkinsville, two great-nephews, Bobby Staples, Jr., of Paducah and Darren Parker of Hopkinsville.

There will be no services.
