Obituary

Pastor Michael Lemond Pryor passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born to James and Peggy Pryor on August 29, 1973, in South Fulton, Tennessee.

Answering the calling on his life, Pastor Pryor served as a pastor for twenty years, eighteen of which were spent at House of Hope Ministries, which God led him to establish on June 29, 2008. Following God’s guidance and instructions, his heart and passion were devoted to those who were “overlooked.” His mission was to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ to every imperfect and unsaved soul searching for a better life in Christ.

Pastor Pryor earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mid-Continent University, an Associate of Arts degree from West Kentucky Community and Technical College, and a degree in Barbering from West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Pastor Pryor enjoyed spending time with his son riding four-wheelers, watching exciting UK games, and spending time with his family. However, his favorite thing to do was spoil his grandbaby, Jayla Mae.

Pastor Pryor is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his son, Amariyon Pryor; his daughter, Tasia Forrest; his mother, Peggy Pryor; his sister, Ann Pryor; his favorite girl, Jayla Foreman; and his faithful administrative assistant, Brandi Clark, who stood by his side. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Pryor; his grandmother, Eva Pettigrew; and his aunt, Linda Morris.

Pastor Pryor will be greatly missed. He was a pillar of the community whose smile was contagious and who was loved and respected by many. He sacrificed much through his giving and loving heart and was always willing and ready to serve others. He leaves behind a great legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all those he touched!

A private service will be held at a later date.
