Pastor Robert Earl Johnson, 72, of Fulton, KY formerly of Paducah, died 3:40 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at Lourdes Hospital.
Pastor Johnson Graduated from South Fulton High School and was Valedictorian of his class, He graduated from Lane College in Jackson, TN with a BA in Sociology. He is veteran of the United States Army and a Member of the American Legion of Fulton, KY. He was a member of the Voices of Zion. He also served as Chaplain at Parkway Regional Hospital. He was the Pastor of Church of Christ Holiness and a member of the Prince Hall Masons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Samuel Johnson and Verna Mae Johnson.
Pastor Johnson is survived by his wife, Jeanette Johnson, of Fulton, KY, one son, Robert Earl Johnson, Jr., of Paducah, KY, four brothers, Jimmy Johnson of Hickman, KY, Frank Johnson, of Carbondale, IL, Bobby Johnson, of New Jersey, and Willie Johnson, of Louisville, KY, one step-daughter Ailene Griffin of Paducah, KY; and several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1249 North 12th Street. Reverend James Bolen and Reverend
W.G. Harvey, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at the church.
