Obituary
Oliver "Sam" Cobb, 82, Paducah, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, 1:00 am, at his residence.
Sam was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where he had served on the usher board. He was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational School where he received certification in barbering.
He is survived by three sons, Ray Silvera Cobb of Jacksonville, FL, Lamel Luter of Los Angeles, CA, and Terry Sutton of Louisville; one daughter Olivia Kay Moore of Paducah; two grandsons; two grand-daughters; one great-grandson; one brother, Don Glenn of Fairfield, CA; one sister, Lettie Lee Cobb
McCorry of Paducah; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Callie Mae Cobb; parents, A.A. Cobb and Inez Alexander Cobb; one sister and two brothers.
Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013, 11:00 am at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend James H. Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Thursday, February 28, 2013, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
