Obituary

Norman J. Gary, 65, Paducah, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, 1:40 A.M., at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City.

He was a member of the former Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church and a graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era.

He is survived by two daughters, SFC Robin Renee Propes of Milwaukee, WI and Kimberly Scott of Chicago, IL; two sons, Chianti Wall of Paducah and Gary Vance of Milwaukee, WI; several grandchildren; three brothers, Huey Gary, Sr. of Paducah, William Gary of Seattle, WA, and Keith Gary of Tacoma, WA; three sisters, Dorothy Patterson and Willa Gary Smith, both of Paducah, and Ernestine Gary of Dallas, TX; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Wall Gary, parents Ernest P. Gary and Millie Lee Mann Gary, and brother Juan Gary.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 25, 2012, 1:00 P.M., at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Special visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012, from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home. Friends may call at the church on Monday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.
