Nathaniel George "Nate" Cody III, age 34 of Paducah, passed away, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 1:00 pm, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Nathaniel was formerly employed as a cook for Shop and Save in Washington, PA.

Nathaniel is survived by his mother, Dianne Cody Fields of Paducah; one daughter, Raelynn Middleton Askew of Paducah; two brothers, Christopher "Mike" Carruthers and Lamont Carruthers, both of Paducah; two sisters, Christine G. Carruthers of Washington, PA and Dionne N. Cody of Warner Robins, GA; six nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel George Cody Jr. and a brother, James Carruthers, Jr.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014, 12:00 Noon, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmington Park Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
