Obituary

"But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

Nathan Lawrence Martin, lovingly known as "Buster" by all those who knew and loved him was called from his earthly home to live in his heavenly home at 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at his brother's residence in Paducah. Nathan lived to be 48 years and 29 days old. He was born to the late Ed Louis Bobby Hall and Shirley Ann Martin on January 1, 1963, in Clinton, Kentucky.

Nathan attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bardwell, Kentucky. He was a 1981 graduate of Carlisle County High School where he was a member of the Comet Basketball Team. Buster was a self-employed laborer, and had been employed at the former Tyler Mountain Water Company. He received his Associates Degree from West Ark Community College in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and also attended Murray State University's Project Upward Bound.

Nathan enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He was an avid salvage collector. Nathan enjoyed reading, especially the newspaper. He loved and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Nathan was preceded in death by His parents, Ed Louis Bobby Hall and Shirley Ann Martin Hall; and one brother, DeWayne Hall; his maternal grandparents J.D. Martin and Virginia Loving Martin; his paternal grandparents George Wilson and Georgia Harvey Wilson and Emerson Hall; and several aunts and uncles.
