Myrtle Ella McCathern, 89, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, 5:15 AM at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ. For many years she owned and operated her restaurant "Myrt"s Place" and retired from both Lourdes Hospital working in the Dietary Department and from Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McCathern; her parents, Willie Matthews and Etta Bryant; one son, Samuel Jones; two brothers, and one grandson.

Ms. McCathern is survived by two daughters, Sarah"June' Parsons, of Paducah, KY, and Dale McReynolds, of Brooklyn, NY; one son, Willie Bradshaw, of Atlanta, GA; six grandsons, one granddaughter, 17 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Ninth Street Church of Christ, 715 South Ninth Street, Paducah, Kentucky. Brother Mark Rowe and Brother William Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.

The Family will receive visitors, Friday, November 12, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, KY and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
